Every
customer has different needs. Different garments, different colours, different
embroidery. For that reason it is virtually impossible for us to cram everything
into these pages! So please treat this as a brief introduction to our company
and our products and if you would like further information please contact us.
Merry
Marketing was formed in 1983. In 1986 we exhibited at the International Handling
And Storage Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham. Interest in our embroidered clothing
and embroidered badges was phenomenal and we quickly developed a niche market
in the Transport and Handling sectors. Since then we have supplied garments to
many leading U.K. companies including Marley Building Materials, Eddie Stobart
Limited, P&O Distribution, P&O Roadways, Seddon Atkinson Vehicles, Lucas
Batteries, Exide Batteries, Renault Trucks, Massey Ferguson Industrial, GEC Alsthom
and Mercury Communications to name but a few. We have also supplied garments to
literally hundreds of smaller companies located throughout the U.K. Our quality
remains excellent irrespective of the size of our customer. | |
When
you order embroidered clothing make sure that you can have the same garments next
year and every year. You will need to replace them occasionally with identical
ones. If you don't you may end up with a workforce who look scruffier in uniform
that out of it. The reasons are simple:- 1)
If you use a proprietary branded garment the styles of garments will not alter
and nor will the colours - as long as you stick to standard colours such as Red,
Bottle Green, Black, Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Burgundy, Grey and White. If you opt
for 'fashion' colours such as pastel shades you could be in trouble. Blushing
Pink or Burnt Orchid may be in the range this year - they almost certainly will
not be next year. Keep it simple and you could save yourself a lot of trouble. We
only use perfect garments that are replaceable with identical ones.If you see
cheap garments being offered be wary. They may be ends of line, job lots, seconds
or inferior products. | | |
| 2)
Don't give someone a single embroidered Polo Shirt and expect them to wear it
every day. It will soon be filthy and the employee will probably not smell too
healthy by the end of the week! The usual advice is three garments per person.
One to wear, one to wash and one spare. 3)
If you combine embroidered Sweatshirts with embroidered Polo Shirts stick to the
same manufacturer. The colours of both garments will be virtually identical. Every
manufacturer uses their own colour shades and if you use two manufacturers you
will get two different colours. |
Embroidery
looks very classy but it does has its limitations. We cannot, for example, embroider
graduated colours (as loved so fondly by design agencies!) It may look great printed
on headed notepaper but is no good for embroidery. Small text and keylines around
lettering can also be a problem and in these circumstances our printed badges
may be a better alternative. Ideally text for embroidery should be no less than
5mm in height. We can usually work something out with our customers but you may
need to be flexible if you want the job done properly. All we ask is that you
send us your design and let us take a look at it. In most cases there is not a
problem but we want you to be happy with the finished product and come back to
us year on year. |
Every
logo or design is unique and it has to be digitised whether to produce embroidered
clothing or embroidered badges. This requires the creation of a special embroidery
software programme which tells computerised embroidery machines where to put the
stitches. The cost of creating this is called the origination charge. It is a
'once only' charge and the price varies according to the size and complexity of
the design. We will quote for this on sight of artwork which can be a simple printed
image on a letterheading, compliments slip or something similar. Once we have
your design on file we can reproduce it for you at any time and embroider it on
a range of garments or create embroidered badges. |
If you want us to produce overlocked embroidered badges or printed badges please
send us your artwork and we will quote by return. The price we quote will include
any origination charges (if applicable), the badge costs, carriage and Vat. The
edging on badges is called the 'overlocked edge'. Overlocking can be applied in
any colour and it stops the edges of the badge from fraying |

TAKE A LOOK AT SOME GARMENTS AND PRICES ! |
Please
take a moment to read our pricing policy. It will help you to work out the cost
of your order.
All
prices shown include the embroidery of a company or club name in BLOCK LETTERING
in UPPER or lower case or A Combination Of Both and
in a colour
of your choice Whilst
we cannot quote accurately for logos and/or lettering styles without seeing the
required design, the prices shown are a pretty good indication of the cost of
a garment with a single left breast embroidery. If
you require a special typeface and/or logo please e.mail it to us or telephone
for more information (01902 344322). We will keep origination costs to a minimum
but we are governed by your design..
